You'll notice some important changes when you visit Bryn Mawr Film Institute. There's a fresh coat of paint, a clean, friendly ambience, and an exciting new energy. The sound and projection systems have been upgraded, and the film programming is first rate. But this is just the beginning! The months ahead will bring the start of our Educational Programs for film lovers of all ages. We hope you'll join us.

First and foremost, we'll offer the best in independent, art, and foreign films, Saturday matinee's for the kids, and just-for-fun cult classics.
Look for your old favorites and some tasty new snack ideas from local confectioners, bakeries, and restaurants--plus coffee from LaColombe!
The 1926 Bryn Mawr Theater will be getting a much needed "face-lift." A new marquee, fashioned after the original, will be installed this spring.
Grab a cup of LaColombe coffee before the movie, after the movie, or when you're passing by. Meet old friends, make new friends, and get to know your neighbors!
We're planning a variety of special events that cover the most serious aspects of film studies as well as what may may be the most ridiculous. Ever tried Movieoke?

Next, we'll tackle the serious work on the building that will make the second floor usable classroom space for our educational programs. The original glass vault over the arcade will be restored, and a third theater auditorium will be added.
Finally, the two current auditoriums will be re-configured to achieve a better screen ratio. Seating, sound, and projection will be state of the art.
