Now Showing

New weekend movie times
We surveyed our patrons twice online, and analyzed over 1800 responses.  This analysis told us that many of you would like movies to start a bit later, especially on the weekend, so that you can have dinner before the show.  We've picked a weekend time (usually 7:30) that will accommodate pre-show dining, yet will still be early enough to permit after-show dining for those who prefer to eat later.

We also have moved the weekday and weekend late afternoon show a bit later (usually 4:30) to allow those who need to feed those dratted two-hour parking meters to do so conveniently, only once, and still get into the theater in time for the show.

And we are re-instituting early matinees (1 or 1:30) on Wednesday, in addition to our weekend matinees.

It is important that you check the newspaper or our website to see what films are showing and when they start.  Special events as well as film length sometimes require day-to-day schedule changes.

We hope to continue to be responsive to your needs, and if these times don't work out, we will change them again.  Enjoy the show!

When will feature films play?
Film Booking
Films play week-to-week from Friday through Thursday. Every Monday we determine what new films will start on Friday, what current films will end on Thursday, and what current films will continue through Friday for another week. All films are subject to this week-to-week decision making process. These decisions are made after discussions with each film's distributor.

When will a film's run start?
Visit our website or call our hotline.
After we decide on Monday (Tuesday at the latest) what new films will start on Friday, we immediately let you know on our website and on our hotline (610.527.9898).

We'll send you an email message every Monday as to what is coming and going on Friday. Sign Up

We'll call you by phone.
If there is a particular film that you don't want to miss, call our box office (610.527.9898) and leave your name and telephone number and the particular film that you want to see (on the answering machine is ok). We'll put that on our "Film Call List," and we'll call you on the Monday before your film is scheduled to start.

We have two requests regarding this service: please leave a telephone number where you have an answering machine, and please use this service just for the films you most want to see, and not for every film on the flyer.

When will a film's run end?
This is most important, since it's about grabbing that last chance to see a film. This decision happens by the same process: we decide on Mondays which films will end on Thursday. We immediately let you know on our website and our Hotline (610.527.9898). If you've signed up for our weekly email messages, we'll also inform you that way.

Further Whys & Wherefores
Why don't we have a fixed schedule?
In order to lock into a fixed schedule (with the attendant lead-time), we would get films much later in their runs.

Why do some films play for so long?
If we move on from a film that is doing well, its distributor won't give us their films as readily (or at all) in the future. We try to keep the films coming to you at a constant rate, but every once in a while we seem to get stuck. It's a little frustrating. But be patient, more good films are eventually coming!

We'll play all these films, right?
Over the course of a year, there will be a few films that we won't get to play. Why? It's usually because of initial unavailability, followed by an early video release. Be assured, though, we try very hard to play them all.

Special Programming.
And, of course, all of the above only applies to our regular "Preview" films. We have a whole other world of special fims that play at the County - Cinematheque Series (Spring and Fall), Hollywood Summer Nights, and Kids Films Series (November-March). All of these special films have a set schedule - so you can plan your life around their unwavering certainty. And they have their own published flyers. Check our current flyers at the theater, here on our website, or call us to be put on the mailing list (215-345-6789 ext. 6).
