Use of Membership Cards
We've had some good questions about the use of Bryn Mawr Film Institute membership cards, so we thought we'd list some clarifications. If you have any questions or comments, please contact us immediately.
Membership cards should be shown when buying tickets.
Showing your membership card moves ticket sales quickly. If you don't have your card with you that's OK. We'll check your name on our list, which takes only a minute. Thanks for being understanding about this.
Membership card can't be used by a non-member.
A membership card can only be used for the benefit of the named holder. The card cannot be loaned to a non-member. A member cannot buy a discounted ticket for a friend, either.
Couple/Dual Memberships
Only one couple member need show his card, which is good for two (2) tickets for that couple.
Children of Member
A minor child of a member is admitted at the member's price.
Advance Ticket Sales to Members
Effective January 1, 2008, Bryn Mawr Film Institute members will be able to purchase tickets at the Box Office to special screenings as soon as they are announced. A member can purchase tickets at the Box Office for regular screenings three (3) days in advance. You can purchase 1 member's ticket and 1 regular admission ticket for every member card you have. Sorry, we don't sell tickets by phone or online.
Advance tickets are available only at the box office (no phone or online sales unless otherwise indicated in the advertising for the event).
We regret that lost or stolen tickets cannot be replaced. If your plans change and you find that you cannot attend an event, you can turn in an unused ticket at the box office and receive a refund for the ticket price.
Only BMFI members may buy tickets to these events in advance.
Free Pass/Free Admission
Exchange your free pass for a ticket at the Box Office. A Mogul, Angel, Director, Film Maker, or Cineaste should show his/her card at the Box Office for a free ticket, also.
Thank you for being a Bryn Mawr Film Institute member. Our job is to make your film experience as positive as possible. Please give us your feedback. If you have a problem talk to the manager. And you can always contact me.
