Swanhilda is distressed to discover that her fiancé Franz is infatuated with Coppélia, a beautiful girl who spends each day reading on her balcony. When Swanhilda discovers that Coppélia is not what she seems, she decides to teach Franz a lesson. The Bolshoi’s effervescent version of Coppélia reconstructs the original 19th century choreography of this comic ballet with youthful energy and irresistible humor.
